Nice to know:

My grandparents built a house on the outskirts of Altea in the '60ies where I spent many summer holidays.

Since then, lots of things have changed, but the charm has always remained. Now that I own this apartment in the old town, a dream has come true.

When we are not there, we want to give other people the opportunity to enjoy its beauty and relaxing environment.

Altea is comfortably reachable by plane via either Alicante or Valencia. From there it's a drive of 45 minutes (Alicante) or an hour and half (Valencia)

The reason that Altea never lost it's charm, is due to the fact that it's beaches consist of cobblestones instead of sand. This has prevented that it collapsed under mass tourism. It really is best of both worlds: enjoy the beauty of the old town or stroll along the boulevard, both with their endless cafe's and restaurants and if you are looking for stretched sandy beaches, it's only a short drive to either Calpe or Benidorm. There is even a strech of sand on the beach of Albir which is really close
